Today, he managed to make his way to the laundry basket and knock off so many hangers. He had them drug all over the house and hanging off the walker. He giggled and giggled - he thought it was so funny.

Hung Up
Denver loves playing in Marleigh's walker during the day. He races up and down the hall and into the entryway everyday. With the wood floors, he can get pretty fast and he has figured out that if he scoots the walker close enough, he can reach things in every room.
Today, he managed to make his way to the laundry basket and knock off so many hangers. He had them drug all over the house and hanging off the walker. He giggled and giggled - he thought it was so funny.
Some of the hangers he managed to drag around.
He hung onto these hangers most of the day. They were like a special prize!

Birthday Preparations!
This week I started trying to get some stuff together for Denver's 1st Birthday. We have just a little over 3 months and I know how things go. It'll be here before I know it so I'm trying to get a few things done a little at a time.
D and I decided on a Sesame Street theme and I am so excited to get to work on it!
Tonight, I found some pictures online and was able to import them into the image gallery in my Silhouette Studio program. I still tell everyone about this machine - I'm still so in love with it. It can do so many things (most I haven't utilized yet) and I'm still so thrilled with the fact that you don't have to buy any cartridges.
I won't go into detail about what you have to do to get it Silhouette ready, but here are the images that I got FOR FREE from the internet. Now I can print them on my regular printer or cut them out on my Silhouette machine. How exciting is that?
And the other images I got. It literally takes just minutes to get to this after you download the images from the internet.
This makes me so excited to get to work! I have a LOT of ideas (so many come from Pinterest), but I'm really trying to be realistic and keep expenses very low so as his birthday gets closer I will share what I have been working on and some of my plans! Until then - wish me luck!

Chugging Along
Denver has started to mess with Marleigh most of the day. They both think its hilarious. Its funny now because they can't really complain about it and they aren't sick of each other (yet). I'm sure they'll be tattling on each other and complaining about each other soon enough.
He likes to roll up to her in the walker and lean over and "bounce" her when she's in her bouncer. She just smiles and "talks" to him. It's so cute. He thinks its hilarious so he giggles and squeals.
I recently started letting Denver have goldfish crackers for snack. He LOVES them.
He thinks he is hot stuff sitting in the booster seat with his goldfish!
He thinks it's pretty cool to smash them all up too!
We normally have a pretty good mess to pick up when he gets done with snack!

Punk Baby!
Denver's hair is getting SO long. Like crazy, mullet looking long. D and I have been arguing for a couple of months about when we are going to get his hair cut. D wants to wait until he's a year old but I think he is LONG overdo for a haircut. I don't want him looking "unkept" any more. We shall see who wins this arguement.
Until then, I'm having fun harassing Denver about it.
We were having a low key day today so before bath time, I got out some hair gel and punked it out by standing it up some. Denver and I both thought it was pretty funny.
Side view with his "pouty" lips!
This just cracks me up! He is such a cutie (I'm a little biased) and he is such a fun kid!!!

Crappy Day!
After afternoon nap today, D was changing Denver's diaper while I was in the other room playing with Marleigh.
I heard all this groaning and huffing so I knew it must have been a bad one then all of a sudden I hear "No Denver, don't touch that" and then "aww, crap".
I got up and went in there and the look on Darren's face was priceless. It was a combination of disgust and panic!
Denver had gotten a hold of the dirty diaper and managed to get poop all over both of his legs and both of his arms. He already had it all over his bottom and then he managed to get it on his clothes as well.
I helped D get Denver's clothes off and into the bathroom so he could put him in the bathtub. He kept saying "he's just moving all the time and he's so fast". It was so gross and stinky but I have to say it was pretty hilarious too.
I think D is going to be a little gun shy the next time I ask him to change a diaper! :)

Little Stinker!
Today I put down a blanket for Denver. That little stinker decided that he would rather kick all of his toys away and he just giggled and giggled.
He just cracks me up! He gets so tickled with himself!
Those little legs NEVER stop moving!
He is such a stinker!
Then he started fussing because he didn't have any toys to play with!

Mother's Day Cards
Today Denver and I stopped by the store and bought all of our Mother's Day cards so that we could sign them when we got home and put them in the mail tomorrow.
I like to try to let Denver sign his own cards - he won't be this little long and I want people to have little things to remember this age by. So, I stripped him down to just his diaper and put him in his high chair and we were ready to do some signing!
He seemed so excited to get started!
He loves chewing on the caps of the markers. I normally just take the cap off, and hold the card up and while he is swinging the marker around, we get a little on the card! :)
He was so proud of himself, that he wanted to show me what he had done! Smart boy!
He is just so sweet. We signed all of our cards and he was such a good sport about it. - He went along with the whole thing and didn't fuss or fight me for the markers at all!

Hook 'Em Horns!
Today after Denver's bath time we played a little dress up. His uncle gave him this little longhorn outfit, and I was afraid if we didn't hurry up and put him in it - he'd outgrow it and we would never get to see him in it.
So, here he is...
He's so happy dressed in burnt orange! Guess mommy & daddy better start saving. UT isn't cheap! :)

I just love his little face! He was such a good sport about sitting there and letting me take his picture!
He's working on his "intimidation face". Actually at this point, he wouldn't stop talking - it was pretty funny!

No Pictures!
I can't even believe I'm going to say this but I didn't take any pictures today!
We had an uneventful day - both babies (Denver and Marleigh) were good today. A little fussing in the afternoon, but not much.
Once Marleigh's parents were home, I took her home and then stayed to watch her and Matthew while Melanie & Roy had a date night. Denver stayed at home to have a daddy/son evening with D.
Matthew ate dinner and then we watched some cartoon Avengers show while he sat in a tent on the couch! He's a nut!
I fed, bathed and had Marleigh in bed so Matt & I hung out and I let him stay up until his parents got home. :)
It was a good, pretty uneventful day and I'm certainly not going to complain about that!

Muscle Man
I keep a big bucket of toys in the living room for Denver and right next to it, I keep his little blue chair. He's figured out that if his excersaucer is very close to the toy bucket he can strain & get some toys out.
Well today, he figured out that he can get a hold of his little chair.
He was so giddy when he got a hold of it - he had a death grip on it!
He was wiggling around so the picture is blurry.
He was so determined to lift it up.
And was so proud of himself when he got it off the floor.
I can't get over how strong he is! He's a muscle man!

The Little Blue Chair
The other day when I went to Wal-Mart I saw the cutest little mini adirondack chairs for only $5.
Denver and I checked them out and found a little blue one that we both decided he needed. :)
I've let him sit in it a couple of times and he thinks he is so cool! It makes me nervous because you can't strap him in and these days - we're in need of a restraint everywhere we go!
This afternoon, I let him sit in it for his afternoon snack and he was so tickled.
I just love those chubby legs!
This picture cracks me up and it is very indicative of how meal & snack time goes down at our house. Whenever Denver is eating - Coco is right there.
We now know that she likes puffs, Cheerios and arrowroot cookies!
Occasionally, he'll drop something and be trying to pick it up to finish his snack but she'll beat him to it and eat it before he can.
My cute boy!
He looks so chubby here - I could just squeeze him all day long!

The Race Is On!
Tonight I was letting Denver have some puffs and when I was shaking them out I had a bit of a mishap and spilled quite a few puffs on the floor.
Coco and Denver were both excited about that & immediately started racing to eat as many as they could before the other could get to them!
Needless to say, Coco won but Denver just giggled and squealed and actually ate a couple of them - he had the best time! It was so stinkin' cute to watch!
