Spaghetti Spaghetti Squash Dinner

I've been trying more Pinterest recipes and have been really happy with some of the new ones.

I've told a few people about this one and thought I'd share it for those of you not on Pinterest.

Start with your oven on 350 degrees. Cut a Spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds - just like cleaning out the inside of a pumpkin. You want it good and clean. Then drizzle it with a little olive oil and bake (cut side down) for 35-40 minutes.

When you take it out of the oven, turn your oven up to 400 degrees.

This is what your squash will look like. Just scrape your fork across it to break it up.

This is what it starts looking like.

Then add your favorite spaghetti sauce and season with your favorite seasonings.

Top with meatballs (I used de-frosted frozen pre-made meatballs) and mozzarella cheese.

Slide it in the oven for 15 minutes.

And this is what it looks like when you get it out of the oven. It smells so good!!!

And this is what I fixed D for dinner. There was no way he could finish it all but he tried. He said it was his favorite way that I've prepared spaghetti squash and requested that I make it again!

Hope you make it & enjoy!

An Orange Day

Today has been a pretty lazy, around the house kind of day.

Denver took a couple of really good naps and snuggled with his owl.

He's recently started sucking on his fingers. He was watching his daddy here.

Daddy set him down to eat some carrots. Denver wasn't very happy with how long daddy was taking to feed him.

Daddy and I switched places so mommy could feed him. He's recently started flapping his arms and he flapped them down on the bowl of carrots I was holding and we had a bit of a situation.

The situation covered mommy's shirt, pants, the couch, the boppy, his feet, leg, hand, forehead and face!

At least he looks good in orange, right?

New Driver

Denver can sit up for a bit by himself but not long enough to play. I don't want to hold him all day long - that's not good for either one of us but he gets very frustrated because he wants to be sitting up.

So, I got his boppy pillow out and put it around him and propped him up on the couch next to me so he could play on his own and I could fold some clothes.

I got out his little "driver" toy that Santa brought him for Christmas. It has lights & sound so he really likes it.

He entertained himself for about half an hour. I was very impressed with how long he played.

His attention span for things is getting longer everyday!

I love his expression! He is such a stinker! About 10 seconds after I snapped this picture, he mushed his toy off the couch to let me know he was "over" it!

5 Months Old!

My sweet boy is 5 months old today. I can hardly believe it. I'll post his stats later but for now, some adorable pictures...

Mommy was going WAY to slow with lunch!

And how cute is this little guy? I say that a lot but I could just kiss and squeeze on him all day long!

Happy 5 Months Denver!

Cutest Nephew Ever

Denver's Aunt Bridgett gave him a cute little outfit for Christmas that we put on him today. He's a big boy so he'll only get to wear it this one time but he looked so cute I had to take a couple of pictures.

I just love some of the ways he sleeps. Look at that chubby little hand - oh it melts my heart!

My sweet, sweet boy!

And these have got to be the cutest little feet! I just love tickling them and kissing them!

Splish Splash

Denver wants to sit up in the bathtub so I've been helping him sit up and he is the happiest little guy.

Now that he can sit up, he's realized he can use his hands to splash, not just his feet.

YouTube Video

He just loves splashing around and getting everything all wet & then staring at all the water dripping off the mirror!

Bath time is so entertaining these days!

Mommy's Mr. Nice Guy

Ain't Meredith came by and dropped off Denver's Valentine's Day gift. She let him open it early. He got some adorable pjs, socks and a new bib! He was very excited with the tissue paper but we think he liked the gift too!

The little boy was being lazy today. He'd pick up a teething toy, lay it on his chest and then open his mouth and try to chew on it without holding it!

He's so stinking cute! I just love that smile!

My sleeping Angel!

Back up & better than ever!
