Hibernating

There are a lot of things that I need to be doing, but I can't seem to find the motivation. I have a baby shower at my house in less than three weeks and I haven't started working on it at all. I mean, I've gotten ideas together and we've planned the menu but normally by now - I'd be just about done. That is totally not the case this time!

I have some craft projects that I want to do and some things that I need to do around the house (the light fixtures and framing the mirror, etc.) and I haven't started any of those things either.

It has recently gotten pretty cold around here and this week is supposed to be even colder. I hear it's going to get down into the 20s at least one night this week so all D and I have been doing is hibernating. We went to the grocery store yesterday and stocked up on stuff to make soup, but other than that - we've been staying at home and staying warm!

I hope the rest of you are far more productive than I have been!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

Well, it is officially snowing in Houston, TX. Now, if it would just stick - it might actually feel like Christmas. We have been preparing for our "Winter Wonderland" but having fires, eating lots of soup, snuggling on the couch and then snuggling in bed with sweaters and lots of blankets. Its hard to snuggle by yourself, so I recruited this cutie to snuggle with me.

Isn't she so cute? Her dad bought her a new sweater, for the cold weather.

You can tell that she was less than thrilled to ve having her picture made that early in the morning and she REALLY didn't want to get out of bed! She is a snuggle bug! Hope you all stay safe and warm today!

A Dog Day Afternoon!

A month or so ago, I picked up a couple of sweaters for Coco that were on clearance, since she has grown out of the first couple that I bought her. I was so excited when I got $25 sweaters for $3 and $4 (I mean, who in their right mind would pay $25? Not me!). Friday night and Saturday morning were very chilly. I realized that Coco thought so too when she went outside to potty, immediately turned right around and wanted back inside. I let her in, and she ran into the living room and jumped up on the couch, shivering. Perfect time to try out a new sweater!

Doesn't she look adorable? She is little, but she is long - I wish they made them longer, but she loved it anyway. I thought she might be getting warm, so I took it off and put it on the coffee table. A little while later, she went to the coffee table, and picked it up and just looked at me. So, I put it back on her and she got up on the couch and went to sleep. When I was moving around too much, she left me to go lay with her dad on the other couch (the start to our Saturday was a very lazy one)!

She spent the next couple of hours like this! She loves napping with her daddy! She wants to be right up next to your face, and snuggle! Can you believe how adorable she is, or what?
