Wordless Wednesday

I know, I know - supposed to be Wordless, but I just wanted to say that Saturday morning I was up early and I ate some cereal and didn't want the last bit because it was soggy. I put the bowl down beside my chair, to take to the kitchen when I was done reading. Guess who found it before I could take it into the kitchen? She ate the rest of the cereal and drank all of the milk! The stinker!

18 Weeks

I'm 4 ½ months pregnant today! Better known as 18 weeks. Only 154 more days to go (not that we're counting down the days or anything).

Your baby (this week):

Is amazingly mobile (at least compared to you). He/She is busy passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. Baby is finally getting big enough that you will start to feel his/her movements soon.

If you notice your belly making jerking movements, don't panic; your baby may have the hiccups!

Boy or Girl?

Our appointment is at 2:15 this afternoon to find out if our little munchkin is a boy or girl!!!! Of course, D and I are ecstatic and can't wait to find out.

The gender reveal party is this coming weekend, so as hard as it's going to be - we have to wait to tell anyone until Saturday.

We already can't wait to tell everyone!

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday

We have the onriest dog I know! She is loving, and loves attention and to cuddle and she has an attitude! She definitely thinks she rules our roost! Oh, who am I kidding? She does! She is such a sweetheart though, so I don't mind.

Anyhow - she used to LOVE to take pictures. I could get her to sit still or look at me and I could get the cutest pictures of her. Lately, she'll be looking at me or posing and as soon as I pick up my camera, this is what I get...

She looks down, or away - anything to keep me from getting a good picture!

See what I mean? She's such a little stinker!

17 Weeks

This week: Your baby is forming brown fat deposits under his/her skin, by the end of pregnancy this will account for 2-6% of your baby's total body weight. This will help him/her maintain their body temperature when they are born. The baby now weighs more than the placenta does!

Your baby's skeleton is hardening and changing from cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are topped with one-of-a kind prints.

The Island of Misfit Toys

A couple of months ago, I thought that Coco was getting a little out of control with her toys, so I used one of the baskets that I had from Christmas goodies, to put her toys in. I leave it out, by the fireplace so that she can get to them if she wants, but when she isn't playing with them - they can be put up.

It's a nice thought, isn't it?

It doesn't exactly work like that. Much to my dismay, she watches me pick up all the toys (day in and day out), and then waits a few minutes and goes to the basket and starts dragging them all out.

I feel like we live on The Island of Misfit Toys.

*Just a side note, the little Santa hat mysteriously disappeared and then reappeared a couple of days later inside Darren's shoe!*

Much to Coco's dismay - this one is still in one piece. You can tell she's been hard at work though!

This is her newest toy. I picked it up for her on Saturday since we're getting into Spring and close to Easter. I thought it was cute! About 2 minutes after I gave it to her, she had it pinned down and it's whole beak in her mouth so I don't think this one stands a chance! It will be right at home on The Island!
