Coco's Christmas Blanket

My mother-in-law gave me this super soft blanket for Christmas, to put on the back of the couch. I took it out of the package this morning so that I could throw it over my lap. I put it down when I got up and guess who found it?


She LOVES the blanket. I went to pick it up and I had to drag it off the couch with her on it. So, it seems my sweet girl got a blanket for Christmas!

New Haircut

Coco went to the "beauty salon" on Thursday, so that she would be looking her best for her baby brother. I complained about them not cutting her nails on our last visit and asked that they be careful with her ears and I believe I pissed the lady off. When I picked Coco up she told me that Coco's hair was "too tangled" to cut into a Schnauzer cut, so she just completely shaved her (Coco had 2 tangles which were completely manageable). She nicked her on top of her forehead, and got WAY too close on her chest and one spot on her neck. Needless to say, her mama was NOT a happy camper. We will not be going back there any more!

I think Coco is upset about her haircut too - she was kind of mopey the rest of the afternoon. Well, until she found out that her mama bought her two new Halloween toys and some gourmet Halloween dog cookies. Cookies fix everything! ;)

Sleepy Girl

Coco and I have been sleeping on the floor in the office, on an air mattress because that's the only place that I can get comfortable enough to get some sleep. In the evenings, when I'm on the computer she lays down on the air mattress and stakes her claim before I get in bed.

Mama's Helper

I don't allow Coco in the kitchen while I'm cooking but she is so afraid she's going to miss something (she could be a little bit nosey) that she doesn't like to be too far away. I've been cooking stuff up for when Denver arrives so I've been spending a lot of time in the kitchen and Coco has been spending a lot of time right at the edge of the kitchen. Isn't she the cutest thing? She's definitely mama's helper!

Here she is trying to get me to share my dinner with her (which I do almost every night)! I know I shouldn't but my goodness look at that face. I feel SO guilty if I don't and she knows it! She totally knows how to work me!

This is what I come back to when I get up and go to the bathroom at night. She sleeps on D's side of the bed at night, but she loves to be extra close and she thinks she needs to be on my side. I'm constantly scooting her back to "her" side. When I got up she was on her side, when I came back - she was on my side. Notice how she wouldn't look at me, like that was going to make me not notice that she was on my side! She is such a priss! I had to push her back over to her side and before I could get back in bed, she had gotten up and gotten as far back over as she could. I had pretty much no room! It's hard to get mad when all she is trying to do is snuggle with you! Isn't she the sweetest thing?

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!

It's been pretty warm lately, and I have picked back up my addiction to Pop-Ice. Coco always wants me to share with her, but I'm stingy, so what's a girl to do? The other day when I was in the grocery store, I picked up a frozen treat especially for my baby girl. I got home and opened the package and cut it into tiny pieces. D said "Morgan, just give her the container and she'll lick it" and I looked at him like he had three heads and said "Our fat girl? Seriously? She doesn't chew anything - just swallows. What makes you think she'll be any different with this?" And he proceeded to remind me of how cold the treat was, as I continued to cut it into little pieces. I put it on a paper plate and put it down for Coco, who approached the plate cautiously and then dove right in!

Sometimes we have treats before dinner - just because we can! :) She enjoyed hers!

This is what I had given her. It was so hard coming out of that package that I had to use a steak knife to cut it into little pieces. Rest assured, Coco gobbled it up. She didn't lick anything but the plate after she was done!

Then she ran into the living room, climbed up in my lap and shivered for the next 30 minutes!

If your pooches haven't had this, you really should stop and get them some! It's made for dogs, and our little one loves it! You can find it by the people ice cream in most grocery stores. :)

I know, I know - supposed to be Wordless, but I just wanted to say that Saturday morning I was up early and I ate some cereal and didn't want the last bit because it was soggy. I put the bowl down beside my chair, to take to the kitchen when I was done reading. Guess who found it before I could take it into the kitchen? She ate the rest of the cereal and drank all of the milk! The stinker!

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday

We have the onriest dog I know! She is loving, and loves attention and to cuddle and she has an attitude! She definitely thinks she rules our roost! Oh, who am I kidding? She does! She is such a sweetheart though, so I don't mind.

Anyhow - she used to LOVE to take pictures. I could get her to sit still or look at me and I could get the cutest pictures of her. Lately, she'll be looking at me or posing and as soon as I pick up my camera, this is what I get...

She looks down, or away - anything to keep me from getting a good picture!

Christmas

I didn't get a picture of Clay in his new outfit, because it didn't make it in time. Which makes me very mad, since I paid for expedited shipping. I told Bridgett that she would have to put him in it and pretend that it was Christmas, and take a picture so that we would have it. That outfit is too cute to go to waste!

Although we decided not to exchange gifts, we did purchase a special edition Keurig single cup coffee/tea/cocoa maker for the house. I'm horrible about not using gift cards that people give me. I looked in my wallet the other day and realized that I had $125 in Bed Bath and Beyond gift cards that I haven't used. So, with my trusty 20% off coupon and the gift cards, D and I both picked out travel mugs, he got a box of coffee and I got a box of cocoa and we paid about $20 for our "Christmas" gift. Can't beat that because that machine is $139.99! Coco was really spoiled this Christmas! She got doggie treats and a dog bone shaped cookie cutter on Christmas Eve and then on Christmas day - she loaded up! She received two stockings full of toys (each stocking had 6 Christmas toys), then she got 2 more toys under the tree, some homemade dog treats, some gourmet dog cookies, a bag of treats, a Christmas card full of treats and a new Christmas collar with little wreaths and rhinestones. Needless to say, she is one spoiled pooch!

This is last night, right before bed time - making sure all of her toys were ok.

She couldn't decide which one she wanted to play with.

So she took turns playing with them all! Someone is going to be occupied for awhile!
